Meet Bobbi
Hello, my name is Bobbi. I'm a happy black Lab. I was brought to CMC by a very kind lady named Sister Pauline Quinn. We flew high in the sky and it was no problem because I was with my little sister Jacki and we held each other the whole trip.

November 2020 Update
Hello everyone, it’s everyone’s favorite black lab, Bobbi. I’ve been doing pretty good, working on not eating food off the floor. It is sooo hard to not eat all the delicious looking things I come across. But my friends tell me that you never know what that stuff could be. It could be dangerous! Plus, a service dog shows self-control and that’s what I want to be.

Hello everyone,
This month I have spent time with some new friends. We have been working on proper restaurant behavior because apparently eating food from the floor is bad form. I know, unbelievable right? Humans ha. Anyway, I have to get back to learning. I will check in with you next month!

August 2020 Update
Hello everyone,
It's Bobbi checking in! I've noticed that the humans have been wearing masks now. At first, I thought it was strange but I'm used to it now. I haven't been able to see all of my humans because they are trying to be safe and not get anyone sick. I want to do my part too. My bff Will has been writing a lot lately and I always wonder who he is writing to. They're called poems and they're for someone special. Well everyone, let's do our part to stay safe out there!

May 2020 Update
Hi everyone, it's Bobbi again. I hope you're all safe and well. I've been doing great, but I certainly miss the Andersons family (my weekend Puppy Parents). :( So recently a new neighbor has moved next to me. At first I was a little apprehensive at first around him because of the stories I had heard from the others dogs, but once I got to know him and I gave him a chance, he turned out to be such a nice guy and we spend the afternoon together. :) I also really miss my friend Buddy. I used to love chewing on his soft curly fur when I played with him. He is a really sweet dog. Until next time!

February 2020 Update
Hello world it's Bobbi :) I'm doing great! I'm working on "go get help," closing/ opening doors, walking, manners, leaving food alone that doesn't belong to me (I don't like that one, but I listen), retrieve named items. :) I sometimes get confuse and bring a different item, but I'm learning more and more. I love learning and look forward to my future career as a service dog. I hope to put forward all the love and care I've received from Will, Tucker, Chris, and the whole Anderson family.

December 2019 Update
Bobbi checking in :) I'm doing great and loving all the teaching, love and care I get from everyone at NLK9. I'm spending extra time with the Andersons which is awesome because they are an awesome family that makes me feel loved every time that I'm with them. I've been working on distinguishing between something that's good for me to eat and things that are not. I have a tendency to try and eat everything, but Will and Chris are showing me not everything is supposed to be eaten.

Hello everyone, this is Bobbi checking in again. I've had a great month working and hanging out with different people. I wore a unicorn costume for Halloween and went to Quinn's graduation. Overall, I have had a great month and look forward to the upcoming holidays, I hear there might be turkey mmm. Maybe I can take a piece or two? :) Hana's birthday is coming up and she is going to be 1 year old. I can't wait for the celebration!
Thanksgiving is the best holiday ever!!! It's a time spent with loved ones and there are lots of delicious smells and morsels around. I've been walking around with my we leash exploring the city.

I had a great month learning and growing. I was able to spend time with most of the other dogs at New Life K9s and they are all super nice. They even gave me some great encouragement. I did work with Hana and she is showing me a lot because she is so smart! Although, she is always hungry...must be an Arizona thing. With my puppy parent family I went grocery shopping and hiking. I’m continuing to gain new exposure in this world!

Yay, this is my first update ever! My name is Bobbi. Unfortunately, I was sick with kennel couch for quite a while. I didn't feel good at all, but the vet gave me some medicine and now I am full strength. I've been going home every weekend with the Anderson family who has shown me so much love and care. I'm learning a lot of different skills, such as opening doors and "go get help." I do get really excited sometimes and tend to jump on people. I don't mean any harm by it. I just want to hug them and show them love! Will and Andy told me there is a better way to show them love. So I'm trying my best to control the jumping and I'm improving, but sometimes I just can't hold back. My favorite pastime is playing soccer with will and hanging out with Andy.

Hello, everyone! It’s me, Bobbi. I want to thank everyone for all the encouragement during my recovery from surgery. I’m doing great! I also want to mention how much I’m enjoying the new skills I've been working on these last few weeks. They're called "touch" and "choose to walk with me." I love them both. Nala and I had a disagreement over something silly, but for the most part, we have worked it out. Take care everyone and be safe. Love, Bobbi.
