About Coda
I was accepted to the program in October. I am not in the prison program, but the New Life K9s staff are my educators. I love to cuddle and lay in my bed. I really do enjoy helping out around the facility. I enjoy picking up items that are dropped accidentally. I have soulful eyes and everyone loves that about me.

My most favorite part of this month was that I got to finally meet my human’s (puppy raiser) family. I had so much fun being social and hanging out with them! I’m still learning the ropes right now, but I’m on the way to becoming the best service dog I can be. This month, I worked on learning how to retrieve a water bottle from the fridge and to take socks off! I’m also practicing the game where I answer yes or no questions. One day (when I’m a service dog) knowing how to answer questions will help me communicate with my future person. I can’t wait to be able to help a veteran or first responder once I finish learning all the skills I need to know! Well, that’s all for now. I’ll check back in with you guys next month!

This month I learned the ropes and routine around New Like K9s. I am learning how to answer yes or no questions, and some colors. I started playing a game called nosework. I am not so good at this game yet, but I have fun playin it. In no time I'll become a professional at it.
PS: My new friend Geege is a funny girl, she decided to sit on me during a car ride. I didn't want to be rude since I am new, so I just let her.
