Hey there, I am Faith, I am cute and full of confidence. Two of my favorite activities are sleeping and playing with my friends. One thing I know for sure, I don't like it when my human or doggie friends wake me up from my naps. Shouldn't they know not to wake this princess up. I am very attentive, and I also like to pretend I am a vacuum. Everything on the floor looks yummy.
From Faith's Handlers
"Faith has reminded me how all individuals are different. She is unique in her style and character and has helped me appreciate that about others. Faith is a constant topic of conversation with my family and has become a part of the family that everyone feels connected to." -Kris

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's already November? I'm learning how to go get help and have magnificent manners. I love tug. I just got a new kong ball tug toy... best toy ever!! See you guys next time!
November 2019 Update
Hey everyone, this is your favorite service dog in training, Faith. Kris is really helping me with then light switch. I think it is fun to chew on, but for some reason he wants me to push the switch up. Sometimes I do it and he gets all silly. I'm starting to think its more fun to watch Kris act goofy than me chewing on the light. We'll see! I went to so many places with my puppy parent family, like a football game, Morro Bay Harbor Festival, and also a care facility. Everybody says I bring smiles to faces wherever I go.
October 2019 Update
This is Faith with a new update. This month I am working on learning to get items and bring them back to Kris instead of trying to get him to chase me. It is so fun to bring the item right up to him then bolt off with it. I get really excited when I see certain people I know. I love to jump on them to greet them, but now I am learning that my people don't really enjoy that type of greeting. I'm figuring out different ways to greet people. I absolutely love to play in the water. Beach, pool, or hose. All day, everyday if I could. I was born for the water!
September 2019 Update
Hey friends, it’s me Faith. This month I have been practicing so many different things. I’ve gotten really good at finding things by sniffing them out. Also, for some reason, my humans keep getting excited when I help them take off their socks. It’s kinda weird, but I’m glad that they’re happy about it. I do have a little fun with them sometimes, I’ll grab a sock and make them chase me before I let them have it back. Sometimes it’s fun to mess around a bit while I work. Make sure to check back in next month to hear about what I’ve gotten up to.
April 2019 Update
Hey guys, it’s Faith. February has been a big training month. I’ve been learning how to help my handler get something that has been dropped. Lately, when we go on walks my handler drops the leash. He needs my help to pick it up so I’ve been learning to do that for him. I’ve also been working on my “ick” issue. My handler doesn’t understand that the more smelly and gross something is to them — the more I want it. I’ve been enjoying playing with my sister Hanna, but sometimes she bites too hard and I have to remind her that it hurts and to be more gentle. I hope you all have a great month and I look forward to telling you all about my training in March.
February 2019 Update
Hey there, it's Faith! I've been working on lots of stuff now that I'm getting older. Right now I'm working on my communication with my handlers. I am learning the difference between "yes" and "no". I'm pretty good at picking different items and I think it's fun to get my humans to act all silly so I can bring the items to them. When I'm not working, I love to play hide and seek and tug. I also love to remind everyone how much of a puppy I still am. They are trying to teach me not to go into the trash cans, but they don't understand how good they smell! All of the treats are in there! That's all for now, I'll check back in with you guys next month!
January 2019 Update
I’m Faith, one of the new puppies at New Life K9’s! I’m spunky, fun-loving, confident, and adorable. Right now I’m learning basic skills: how to tug open a cabinet, put on my vest, and tell the difference between colors. We’re also working on taking treats gently, but I’m still a puppy and that one is hard. I still get so excited! I’ve also lost four teeth and am working on my fifth. The tooth fairy still hasn’t come to visit. What’s up with that? I'll let you guys know next month if she finally stops by. Bye for now!
November 2018 Update
I am learning a whole lot this month. I am learning how not to pull while on leash. I am working on "ick", in other words, not eating things from off the floor. I am learning patience and names of objects, I know what a hat, leash, vest, shirt and socks are.
