About Geege
I was named after Jennifer Arnold's nickname; she's the author of "Through a Dogs Eyes" and "Love is All You Need". You should read her books. My birthday is in March 29th, 2017. I am very sweet, and I don't mind playing by myself.

Hey everyone — Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve checked in on here! I’ve been keeping everyone pretty busy here at headquarters. I’m not sure I can even remember what I have all done since the last time I checked in with you. I’ve had a few doctors appointments since I’ll be turning TWO on the 29th of March! I went to get my beautiful eyes checked, and I was a perfect patient when they put the eye drops in my eyes. My best friend Rosa was so proud of me! I can’t say it went as well for my boyfriend Cooper. Back at headquarters, I’ve still been learning some new skills while refining some of the ones I already know. One of my newest skills is helping my friends unzip and remove their jackets. For only having been taught this recently, I think did a pretty good job at assisting! I don’t get to help with this too often, but I also really enjoy helping my girls take off their socks. I know that sounds kind of like it would be stinky (and I’m not saying it always smells like rose or nothing!), but I think it’s a lot of fun! I also really enjoy using my nose! I love helping Rosa and Kate when they lose their stuff. They lose a lot of things, like their shoes, keys and glasses. I don’t know what they would do without me! I’ve really become a WeLeash master. I love holding it, and I love that it makes my people proud when I do!
Something odd is going on. I’m not entirely sure what exactly, but I know because my friends have been at headquarters for two weeks straight now, and my mom hasn’t been able to go to work. I’m not complaining though because that means I get to have them around more! My friend Rosa keeps telling me all these funny memes. I think the best one I’ve heard yet is “You thought dogs were hard to train? Look at all the humans that can’t sit/stay.” I got a good laugh out of that one. I hope everyone out there is okay though. I can sense the worry of people, so I hope you all get some puppy kisses. Sending you all lots of puppy love from headquarters!
Love, Geege

Wow, I can't believe it's already November! This year sure is flying by. Last month was very exciting! I told you guys about Jennifer Arnold coming to meet me. It was SO cool getting to meet my namesake, and not to brag but I'm pretty sure she loved me. Jennifer is the creator of the bond based approach, so she's the reason I get to have fun with my teachers. I also took a day trip to go to a very big event called Wags n' Whiskers in Santa Barbara. There were lots of people and dogs everywhere! People kept asking if I was up for adoption, so we explained that I was being taught to become a service dog. It was a long day, but I was proud to be our team ambassador for the day (especially because everyone kept saying how beautiful I am). This month I’ve been working hard on helping my teachers open doors and retrieving bottles for them. Sometimes I like to tease my teachers and pretend like I can’t do it on my own so they’ll help me, but they know I can do it! We have a new temporary office dog named Carina. Peanut and I have been teaching her the ways, but sometime soon she’ll be going to CMC to be taught by the handlers. She is a great friend to Peanut and me, and I really love her. We’ll miss her when she’s gone, but I’m sure we’ll be besties forever. Well, I’m heading out for Thanksgiving break! Hopefully I can snag some fresh turkey or potatoes from my mom. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! XOXO, Geege

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for such a long time — it has just been so busy here at New Life and I have so many commitments! Between being the star at public events, going to school to learn all my skills, and playing with my best friends (shout out to Peanut, Eddie & Hercules!) it’s just been go, go, go! I’ve practically become a master at colors and helping take off my two legged friends’ socks. This month I also conquered one of my biggest enemies - the balloon! Those things used to freak me out, but ever since my teachers showed me that they’re fun, I’ve learned to join them in the celebration! I also took another big trip with my mom, Jordan. We went back to North Carolina, so I got to fly on that giant car called the plane again. My mom was so proud of me as I made it through the airport check-in like a professional and helped her feel comfortable throughout the flight. I’m really looking forward to next month! I get to meet my namesake, the one and only Jennifer Arnold! She’s going to love me, don’t you think? I’ll let you guys know how it goes! XOXO Geege

Wow! This year is almost over and I’ve grown so much! Now that I am 8 months old, I am even taller than most of my friends. This month I’ve been working on this game where I take socks off of my favorite people. I also have been playing a different game call “Nose work”. I am always asking to play that game because it is one of my favorites! My educators tell me I am doing a great job in public and that I am right on track to becoming a service dog. Every Wednesday I get to go to work with my mommy and help her out (I am always a huge hit at her work). I also love meeting all kinds of new doggy friends when I go to daycare every week! I am such a social butterfly.
I’ll see you all next month! Bye!November 2018 Update

Happy monthly update to all my Fans! Last month was AWESOME! My mom took me on her trip to this place called North Carolina. I got to see a lot of new things and practice my big girl skills through my adventure in becoming a service dog. We had to take a really big car there that had a whole lot of strange people in it. Mom called the big car a plane? Usually in the car I get lots of space but in this big car I had to squeeze myself underneath moms seat and her feet, I was awfully cozy there. I did great in the airport (this place you have to go through before you find the car you are riding in)! I got to smell lots of new smells and meet lots of new people. Once we arrived in North Carolina mom had a whole lot of adventures on her to-do list. We went to a conference, this not so fun thing where people are saying words the whole time I don’t understand, so instead I just slept. I also got to ride on this new thing mom called a boat! It was awesome!! I only wished the boat could be underwater because I really wanted to go for a swim. We did lots more, but that’s all for now. Check in with me next month as I take on more adventures…I even heard we might be going to San Francisco!

Wow, time flies! I will be six months old this month. Not only am I growing up fast, but I am learning a lot fairly quickly as well. This month I learned how to answer yes and no questions. I know how to answer yes pretty good, especially when someone asks me if I would like a treat. Along with my mental education, I have also been working on my social skills a lot this month. New Life K9s takes me everywhere! I was able to meet these little smelly dogs with horns (goats), I was pretty scared of them at first but after a few minutes I kinda enjoyed meeting them. I also met chickens, horses, cows, and emu’s! I was able to star at a few events NLK9s has attended this month. Meeting new people and getting pets never gets old! Check in with me next month to hear more about my learning and traveling adventures!

Hi Friends and supporters! This month has been very exciting and full of new adventures! Now that I am fully vaccinated the NLK9s team said I am safe to go outdoors. I have went to all sorts of new places like Home Depot, Trader Joes, Costco, etc. I really like seeing all the people and excitement, it didn’t bother me one bit like it does some puppies. I am learning my colors, which out of the 4 I have learned, purple is my favorite. I am currently learning this thing they call “go get help” but I haven’t got it down quite yet. I know how to tug open doors when I am feeling up to it. I also am a pro at getting my nails done, but what girl isn’t?! That’s all for now! Check in with me next month.
