Hi, I'm Gregor 2.0, I am the second New Life K9s doggie to be named after a great hero warrior. I like to chill and relax more so than my friends. I have an older brother in the program named Quinn. I like to play with my toy squirrel. Oh, and I was born in January 2, 2018.
From Gregor's Handlers
"Gregor has taught me to value my relationships with friends and family. To be kind to all, and really focus my energy on those I Iove." -Chris

I'm really close to graduating and I'm just brushing up on the things I know and tightening my game up. A these human dog educators have been helping me and I'm really appreciative because I want to make a veteran or first responder very happy. Anyway, I had a really fun Halloween. My friend made me the coolest Frankenstein costume. It was the best out of everyone's! then my puppy parent, Sara, took me out so I could show it off. I love Halloween.
This month, I have been practicing skills that I learned a long time ago, and doing them a little differently. So where I used to help people stand up, now I'm helping them walk up stairs. I'm also teaching some of the younger puppies the skills I've learned. I don't like to toot my own horn, but I know a few things. :P Goodbye poop parties, hello puddle splashing! I'm a water dog, so it's all good to me, even the rinse-off. I love the changing seasons!
November 2019 Update
It's me, Gregor! I am so happy because all my friends are clear of kennel cough and we are all off quarantine! I have been learning and prating skills with my buddies, which keeps me motivated. Dancer and Blitzen showed me their awesome door tug and retrieval. Faith is teaching me how to jump on people's laps and pretend I'm a baby, (humans want the weirdest things). I go to play with Paulina again for the first time in months. She's my best friend and she shows it by chasing me, latching onto my neck and pinning me to the ground. I love her!
October 2019 Update
This is Gregor barking at you! I'm perfecting the way I "go get help" for people. These humans can be quite needy and they frequently ask me to get other humans to help them. So I oblige; and why wouldn't I? I love them and I love to be of service. You know what's funny about these humans? They always lose their socks and shoes and often ask me to find them and bring them. Well, nose work is one of my specialties and a favorite pastime, so it's actually fun to find them and the humans get so happy when they see me bringing them back. It's really a blast! I got to hang out with Dancer a couple of weeks ago at the beach and around town when her puppy parent's family took me out with them. I had so much fun! I'm also really happy that Sara is my new puppy parent. I love her so much!
September 2019 Update
Hi everyone, it's Gregor here. I've gotta say, it has been a pretty fun month! It was exciting because I spent a lot of time hanging out with my puppy parent. We went to bunch of different places! I got to go to the beach and play around by the ocean. We also went hiking, which is really cool because of all the new sights and smells. I also practiced my service dog in training skills when we went to restaurants. I behaved really well and did my best to do a good job! That pretty much sums up my month, but you guys should come back next time to see what I get up to next!
May 2019 Update
Hello again, it’s Gregor the second here! This has been an exciting month. My older siblings, Annie and Curtis, found some pretty great families to go live with. I miss them, but I also got three new family members. They look a little bit different from me, with their long hair, and they can bark a bit much sometimes. However, they are pretty cute, so I let them get away with it. I’m being a good big brother right now, not rough housing or anything, but when they get older it’s on.
April 2019 Update
Hi everyone! It's Gregor the second here! I have recently changed when I go to school. I now attend school on the weekend and have two week days off where I get to hang out with my puppy parent out in society. At the K9 academy in CMC I have been concentrating only retrieval of items, turning on lights, and tugging the door open. I don't enjoy doing it as much as running and jumping up and down on planks, but I entertained my human companions educator because they asked me nicely. But I believe running planks and breaking through barriers are much more fun! Well that's all for now, I'll check in with you guys later.
March 2019 Update
Happy Valentine’s Day!! I spent my day on a date night with my handler. We went to a late movie, shared popcorn and cuddled. I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day too. In my training I have been working on turning on/off light switches and opening doors. I’m getting really good at both. I hope you check back in March to see how much I’ve learned.
February 2019 Update
Happy 2019 everyone! I started the new year by celebrating my first birthday. I also had to get neutered, which was not quite as fun. Can't say I recommend it, but I was told it was necessary. Anyways, I've pretty much been hanging out and getting lots of snuggles and love from everyone. It's the best! I'll feel better soon and be back to my old self in no time. See you all next month!
January 2019 Update
I’m definitely not a puppy anymore! Instead of going to bed on time, now I’ll want to stay up to watch T.V. or just hang out with my human. I’m acting so much like a teenager who likes to stay out late with my friends. I have also been working on some pretty cool skills this month! I’ve been learning to alert my handlers for help when I can’t get a toy for myself. Also, I’ve been practicing “brace”, which is when I get to help my person get up from the floor or a chair. I’ve been working hard this month, so hopefully my Christmas break next month will be really nice!
November 2018 Update
This month Gregor has been working hard on identifying objects; close up and far away. Also confidence exercises, where he's running through dark tunnels and busting through the boxes at the end. Gregor loves to play tug with us. Also, he loves ball especially a big jolly ball!
OCTOBER 2018 UPDATE
This month I am 8 months old and I am still very handsome. I've been working on something my teachers call alert. I've been taking it little by little so I could be really good and solid at it. At first I would make eye contact with my handlers and that is how I communicated with them. By next month I should have it mastered! Talk to you next month!
SEPTEMBER 2018 UPDATE
I am very affectionate and sometimes I would rather show my affection all day than participate in my teaching lessons. Just like a few of my friends, I am learning how to “brace” just in case my human needs assistance in the future.
