About Parker
Hi. My name is Parker. I'm a red-headed labradoodle. I am lucky, I've been placed at Pleasant Valley with a group of great guys and a wonderful pack of dogs. I look forward to growing up here, so I can be of service to a deserving human.

August 2021 Update
Hi everyone. My birthday is almost here and I am going to be 2 years old! I hope my birthday party is awesome. I have been learning a lot of new stuff and it seems like every week now I am learning something new. I am learning how to touch things with my nose and also learning about stuff that is not mine. We are also getting a lot more treats while I learn my new skills which as we all know, food makes everything better and I am not complaining! Thank you, everyone, for all your love and support. Now, remember my birthday is September 9th!

Man, another month has flown by and I am going to be two years old real soon. I am still continuing to work on all of my manners. I have also been learning how to retrieve my leash and harness but doing that is kind of boring for me but I will keep trying. I do love playing nose work games and look forward to doing that. Jason says that we also need to keep focusing on doing freeze, yes and no, light switch, and retrieving items because those are skills that I need to refine along with all my other manners because I am almost two now and I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to along with and the love and support I get from all of you.

Time is flying by, I can’t believe I am going to be 2 years old really soon. I am still working on my confidence and learning to jump up on different stuff. I am also working on the light switch which is kind of tricky but I will figure it out. I am also learning how to retrieve different items like a cup and a medicine bottle. I’ve also learned a new recall word “safety,” and I learned it fast. I have also been trying not to dig in the yard. That one is pretty hard for me but I am trying to control myself but sometimes the temptation is overwhelming. Thank you everyone for all your love!

Hi, everyone. So Jason and Keith have been helping me to learn my emergency recall. They say that I am doing really good and I think I am doing great. I am also learning how to identify different shapes like a square and a triangle but Jason says that I have to be gentle with them because they are on paper. I am learning to walk next to big carts. I've learned that I don’t really like to jump on top of stuff but Jason is helping me with this. He said if I don’t want to do it, I don’t have to. Well, that's it for this month. Thank you to everyone for all your love and support.

It's great to be back at PVSP. This month was great because we all got Valentine's Day cards and treats! Our supporters really made February special for us!

I am back at Pleasant Valley now and I really missed my brothers and friends. I am still working on my manners. Jason says that I am doing a lot better, and I agree! I’m also starting to learn how to "go get help." I kinda still don't get it but I’m still having fun. I always feel like I am having success because everyone around me lets me know how awesome I am! Thank you everyone for all your help while I was at CTF.

Hi everyone,
This past month I have been working on learning the proper way to greet people. I have also been focusing on my table manners and to not be rude to people while they are eating. A hard thing that I have been working on is resisting to jump for toys when people are holding them! Boy, that is a hard one for me because they always pick my favorite toys to play with! I am going to do my best to learn what it takes to be a well-mannered service dog.
September 2020 Update

Hi everybody,
I have been busy this month helping out my handler Jason. I have been working on taking off his jacket and socks. Jason told me that I have to focus on my manners. I just really like to jump and bark for things I want. It's really fun for me but I know I have to work on these things to become a service dog. Thank you for all of your support. Until next month!

This past month we have been doing a lot of different stuff, like colors, learning numbers, and also learning different handler names by going to them. Jason is also trying to teach me how to "go get" people but he still has to help me out with that one because it is something new for me. I also learned how to help Jason take his jacket off and it is really fun but I can't chew the jacket up and that takes some of the fun out of it. Jason says that I have to learn to be gentle with certain things. Thank you everyone for all your support.

May 2020 Update
This past month has gone by fast it is probably because I am always having fun. I am learning some new stuff, like one new thing is how to take off socks. I take them off because I want to play with them, but Jason says that we have to be gentle with them and he usually trades me with something better. I also am learning "brace." Jason says that I am helping him up by letting me put his hands on my shoulders but there is nothing wrong with him because he does not need help getting up, but whatever. Lately my favorite friend to play with has been Delta and Finna. They are a lot bigger than me, but I love to play with them. I also play with my brothers Jimmy and Rowan a lot but they get on my nerves sometimes. Thank you everyone for all your love and support.

April 2020 Update
Hello everybody, it's Parker again! I want to talk about the stuff that I have learned so far and what I am still working on. Jason is teaching me to be patient in doorways. He says that I am learning that very well. I know what "better hurry, go potty" means and I am getting really good at opening doors with my tug toys tied to them. One thing that really sucks is I can't play while on leash and that is a rule that I totally don't agree with! But I will do my best to learn. I am also getting better at my colors and my favorite color is yellow. Bye for now! Thank you all for your love and support.

January 2020 Update
Hi, everyone! My name is Parker, some of you know me already. I am a beautiful Labradoodle and I look like a cute teddy bear. I am five months old and full of energy and curiosity. I live here at PVSP with two of my brothers an seven other good friends. Here at PVSP, we have a lot of people who take care of us and love us, I have lived with a few people, but just recently I started spending time with a guy named Richie. I love that guy and he loves me, too. If it was my choice, I would only spend time with him and I know he feels the same way. Fortunately, my mission is to become a service dog and I know that one day I will meet that special person to whom I will bond for the rest of my life, but for right now I have to learn from different people and have to spend time with all of them. Until I meet that special person, Richie will be my favorite.
