About Pauline
My friend Quinn and I are named after the same person, Sister Pauline Quinn. Thanks to her, there are many dogs in prison programs throughout the country. I am just a puppy and love to play, but one day I will grow to help someone who will need my assistance. I was born on May 10, 2018.

Hello everybody it's me Pauline. This month is going so fast. Tony is finally out and I'm so happy for him, but a little sad because I miss him. But as of right now, I am working on my magnificent manners. I'm getting ready for my transition to the fire station. I am so excited. I'm spending as much time that I have left with Jaime, my puppy parent Wendy and my friends at CMC West. Man, life is moving on so fast. My favorite pastime is playing with my big brother King Cooper, Angel, Buddy, Cubby, etc. I'm going to miss them.

Happy New Year to all of you! I really have a great feeling that 2020 is going to be a good year. By the end of the year, I will be placed with my recipient already and be of service while settling into my new home. Right now, I am learning some retrieve of several different items. My educators will show me an object/item and then put it in another room, they will then ask for the object/item and I will bring it back to them. I love being helpful and making life easier for others! Last but not least, I love to play hide and seek and also chasing others/being chased. See you next month!

Hello everybody and Merry Christmas to all of you. My handlers Tony and Jaime let me know that Santa Claus is very happy and impressed with my behavior this year. Santa asked what I want for Christmas and I said, "lots of milk bones and rawhides!" :) This month I have been working on my socializing in different public places just trying to learn how to relax a little more. Hide and seek is my favorite game... I just follow my nose and I will find you everyone single time. That is not considered cheating, is it? I have also been teaching some of the younger pups how to alert humans for help when we need assistance or during emergency situations. I like passing on my knowledge to the younger generation. Have a safe holiday season everyone.

Hi everybody. Things are goin really well for me these days. I have improved significantly on my social skills with both people and dogs. I am happy to say that I get along really well with my friends here at CMC West (NLK9 Dog Program) an I am more confident with who I am. Recently, I was able to attend graduation for Quinn, Robbie, and Donavan. I had a blast and was surprised and happy to see my puppy parent Wendy and Jed show up at the graduation. Hopefully, I will be able to graduate myself one day and be of service. Thank you for your support everyone.
Thanksgiving has now come and gone and I had my fair share of turkey. Hope your holidays were filled with peace and blessings. For the month of November, I spent some time working on behavior and socializing skills. I went on a couple of outings with my puppy parents, Wendy, to learn how to be more comfortable around children and people in general. Little by little I am gaining more confidence with my surroundings. Thank you all for believing in me and not giving up on me.

Hi everybody. It's me, Paulina checking in for the month to give you an update on how I am doing. I am finally clear of the kennel cough and so now I get to play with all my buddies again. Right now I am working on my socialization skills with puppies and other dogs. I am learning how to be more patient and accepting of others. Each time I have interactions with other dogs I am realizing that they are so much like me and they they are not that bad after all. I am having lots of fun playing chase and wrestling with my buddies.

Hey everybody. Things are going good for me these days. I am just getting over a kennel couch that set me back for a while and now I feel so much better. Right now I am learning how to be more comfortable around people and puppies. Sometimes I get too excited around people and want to say hi, or there are times when I am not too sure about strangers. Right now I am learning how to keep my composure when I am excited and give people the benefit of the doubt when I am unsure. As for puppies, I need to have more patience with them and remember that I was that rambunctious puppy not that long ago. Thank you for all of your support everyone. See you next month!

Hi! Paulina here with another update. Carlos and Jaime have given me some time off. I get to sleep all day on the couch with my puppy parent family! Anyways, we have been working on “Like Me’s.” I learned how to remove socks, close doors with my paw, and turn on the light. I am still a work in progress with some other things, like roll over and turn in circles. Jaime even tries to get my to stretch my legs! Other than that, I love Jaime and Carlos because we have so much fun. They aren’t just my handlers, they’re my playmates! Until next time, be good everyone!

Hello guys! It's me, Pauline. I have been working on improving my skills this past month so I can get closer to becoming a service dog! My handlers and I are reinforcing things like retrieving objects and medication. This is super important to learn because then I'll be able to help my future veteran or first responder with getting things they need. I also worked on identifying colors and socialization. Don't worry though, my month hasn't been all work and no play! One of my favorite things to do is still spending time playing with my friends. You guys should check back in with me next month so you can help all about what I've been up to!

Hello everybody, it’s Pauline again! I’m almost one years old! I’m super excited to see what everyone has planned. But that’s next month, this month I’ve been working on behavior and reinforcing all my best skills. It’s pretty much almost like playing, a skill that everyone knows takes lots of skill and concentration. Besides training, my favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends Angel and Cooper. They are the best! Well, that’s all for now, come back next month to hear all about my birthday.

Hello everybody! I just had another birthday; I’m a big girl now! One of my favorite pastimes is playing and hanging out with my friend Angel and her handlers. We like to run around and compete. She thinks that she is faster than me, but she doesn’t know than I am just jogging. I have been working on the wobble board; I’m not a huge fan of it. My handlers think that they are pretty slick by trying to hide it in an obstacle course, but I still spotted it. However, when me and Angel were playing, we both ran around all over it. Well, that’s all for now, later guys!

Hello Everyone, it’s me Pretty Girl Paulina! This year is going so fast. I’m nine months old now and growing. We have been training a lot this month, working on “Like Me’s”, taking off socks and turning lights on/off. During training I get to compete with my brothers and sisters and it feels great when I complete the training successfully. Have a great month and check back in March to hear about my progress.

Hello everybody, it’s Paulina! This month I’ve been working on retrieving. Well, at least, that’s what my handlers think. I pretty much have it down already, but I like to watch them show me how to do it, you know, just to be sure. I still need to work more on my “like-me”s, but I have my emergency recall “return” and “alert” down. I love getting to hang out with my puppy parents because that always treat me like a princess (which I am). I love them and my handlers Jamie and Carlos so much! I have to go now, but make sure to come back next month to see what I’ve been up to!
