Meet Lucas
Lucas was born on 11/17/2021. He and his three siblings came to us from Stofer's Labs in Prunedale, CA. Lucas joined New Life K9s in January 2022 and is currently located at Plesant Valley State Prison in Coalinga.

Novemeber 2022 Update
Hey world, it’s me! Your favorite American Lab, Lucas. Guess what?? My birthday is this month on the 17th! YAY! Party Time. My handler says he is going to make me a cake and treats for my friends. Now that I’m going to be one year old, I may start growing a mustache to impress the cute girls. Actually, all that dad says I have to do is flash my eyes or wag my handsome tail. If you’re able, celebrate my bday from wherever you are, but be responsible okay?

Howdy folks, it's me, Luca! I've been here at Pleasant Valley State Prison for two weeks now and I'm having fun getting to know my new family. People say I'm as cute as my new dad, but I don't buy it... lol. I look forward to learning lots of things and graduating as a service dog in two years.
I’ve been learning so much from my team! We are working on some skills and a lot of manners. I am learning how to walk easy on a leash, how to be patient at doorways, “come here,” and touch to name a few. I'm even starting to learn what colors are! In my free time, I love to play with my chicken and tomato toys. Now if only I had thumbs so I can make some soup! Talk to everyone soon and please keep checking in with me to see my updates!
