About Quinn
To all my future followers, my name is Quinn. I was named after one of the best persons I know; Sister Pauline Quinn. So I was blessed from the jump. I posses many skills that are helping me accomplish my goals of becoming one of the best service dogs ever. I am full of spunk, courage and I have a smile that will break your heart. I was born on May 14th, 2017.

Hello everyone, it's the mighty Quinn! This has been an exciting month for me! I spent a week in Sacramento with my outside companion helping her work with large groups. I stayed close to her side to make sure she was comfortable. She kept telling me "I'm proud of you". I'd give her kisses in return. When I returned to my doggie campus, my teaching companions and I had tons of fun going over skills I learned when I was younger. We played games like walking behind each other, getting closer and stopping when one of them would say "freeze". They can be goofy, but it helps me learn. I need to go teach my little sisters Faith and Hana to walk across a bench without falling off. Wish me luck, they're a bit clumsy. Bye for now!

It’s Quinn again. I’ve been really busy since last month. I have been focusing on my manners out in public. I’ve been informed the I don’t have patience when my companion is shopping. I’ll be working on that in the coming month. I’m on track to finish my doggie classes soon. In a few months I will be going to Advance Companion classes. I’m working hard to assure everyone I’m up to the task of going to the next level. I hope you all have a wonderful month and look forward to telling you about all the new things I’ve learned.

Wrappy roof year you guys! I’m getting close to graduation now, so I’ve been working extra hard on skills to help out my future buddy. This month l’ve been learning to retrieve. It’s kinda hard for me right now, but I’m getting better every time. I’ve also been learning how to pull open a desk drawer! I am pretty good at it, but now I just have to figure out how to close it…
Well, that’s all I was up to this month, bye everybody!January 2019 Update

Hi everyone! It’s Quinn! I’m now 18 months old and working hard on my social skills. I've been getting out there and hanging out with people and other dogs! Some of the stuff I’m learning is to show self-restraint when meeting new people and to stay calm when I greet other dogs. I’m also learning how to pull down a shirt zipper. My teachers get so excited when I do it and they tell me how smart I am! But the most exciting thing that happened this month was when I spent time with my weekend family. They had a giant food party and I got to eat turkey! It was so yummy. I'm so excited to find out what I'll be doing next month!

I've been taking my time walking up and down stairs this month. I wasn't sure why we were going so slow at first, but I came to realize I'm helping my human buddy, each time I step up and stop, he'll place a hand on my shoulder, and step up, too. He will thank me with every step. I like helping the big guy up and down the stairs.
Quinn enjoys playing in the K9 Academy room. He likes to chase medium size plastic/rubber toys around the room. Once he grabs it, he will run to his favorite chair, put his front paws on it and walk the chair across the room.

Thanks for checking back in with me! This month, I’ve been hearing someone yell out for help but he’s behind a big door which makes it hard for me to know what to do. I want to get help but the door is closed. I eventually find someone that is around and take them to the door to open it, once it is opened everyone cheers and I have no idea what just happened but I am happy I helped save the day. This month I have been working a lot more on retrieving items. I can easily go get anything but for some reason my humans want me to come to them and let go of it… I thought it was for me? I mean don’t they know keep away is my favorite game, I figure that’s what we are always playing! I can’t wait to let you know what next month has in store for me, check in with me then!

For the month of August I have been focusing on displaying better manners while I am on leash. One to two days a week, I have teaching lessons with three or four other dogs, simulating real life events (i.e. meet and greet and recall exercises). I have shown more calmness around other dogs as a result of my learning lessons. I also got to go downtown and practice my skills with my parents and the New Life K9s team.
